GS1-128 and SSCC shipping labels, straight to ZPL
DockLabel is a free generator for 4 x 6 inch GS1 logistic labels. Type in a shipment or paste a packing list, and get ZPL you can send to a ZPL thermal printer at 203 or 300 dpi.
It runs in your browser. Addresses, PO numbers and SSCCs are never uploaded, and the preview is drawn on your device, not by a rendering service. The only thing you type here that reaches a server is your email address, and only if you join the waitlist below. If you allow analytics, page views and button presses are counted, never what you typed. See the privacy policy.
What it gets right, so the label scans
The SSCC and its check digit
Built from your GS1 Company Prefix and a serial number, with the mod 10 check digit calculated for you and verified on anything you paste in.
Check a numberNo repeated numbers in a batch
Sequential serials for every label, an error if the range would overflow, and every CSV row compared against the rest for a duplicate SSCC.
What a duplicate costsA barcode at a size GS1 allows
FNC1 after the start character, bars 4 dots wide at 203 dpi or 6 at 300 dpi, quiet zones on both sides, and the number in parentheses underneath.
The GS1-128 rulesTell me when batch runs and SSCC serial tracking launch
Next up: saved batch runs from a packing list, and a serial ledger that remembers the last SSCC you used so a number is never repeated. Leave an email address and we will write once, when they are ready.
